This is it, Blingles the event for Black Singles is finally here in the Tdot!
Have you been sitting at home and just wondering, where or when you could
meet a single sista or brotha in Toronto?
Has life been passing you by because all you do is work work work, or network
network network?
Are you in your 30’s, and truly single and you don’t suffer from marital, girlfriend or boyfriend
amnesia?
Well if you can answer these questions with Yes, Yes, Yes, then Blingles is the place to be.
What is Blingles? Blingles = Black Singles... *Bling Bling*
A fun event for Black singles in Toronto, where you are guaranteed to laugh,
kick back, enjoy yourself and have an all out good time...And while you’re doing this, you may just meet that special
someone.
Blingles: Hosted by Actor, Playwright, Comedienne, Anne-Marie Woods, with co-MC Dj Glen C.
Special Guests include....
Jude Kelly, Ryan Glasgow, A Poem by JD Vishus,
Celia McIntosh, Jason Burke, with DJ Carl Allen spinning the tunes to stir
up that single vibe. Comedy Sketches, The Dating Game, Single Person Testimonials, Spoken Word, Door Prizes and
Mixing and Blingling, & Much Much More!!!!!

Blingles Eve Report - Friday December 31, 2005
I would like to extend a very special thank you to everyone who attended Blingles
Eve on Thursday Dec. 30th, 2004, a great time was had by all. Another successful Blingles Event. Over 100 people
came out to Richmond Lounge last Thursday, and guess what, the numbers were closer between the men and women than at the first
event. People came on time, and they played Blingo - our interactive game to meet people for over an hour and
a half. Blingles the event for Black Singles aged 30 and up, is about socializing in a fun atmosphere, and it's also
a chance to meet some other singles like yourself, and while having all of that fun, there just might be a hook up.
And we got 17 more people who bought memberships, and 11 of those were men as opposed to the 16 last time with only 2 men
coming on board. (Things are picking up folks, the men are stepping up to the plate).
The dating game was great with Geena Lee our celebrity bachelorette who used
to do the Love Zone on Flow, she won a date with a man with culinary talents, and Al St. Louis our celebrity bachelor, won
a date as well, and also wowed the crowd as Co MC. Anne-Marie Woods (Blingles Founder) as host and MC of course
was running around all night, but even she got to enjoy the atmosphere this time. "I just can't believe they are still
playing that game, makes me feel good", she said.
From Blingo, to the door prizes, to the celebrity dating game, to the spoken word,
to the count down to New Years Eve, things went off without a hitch. DJ Glen C was out of control on the wheels of steel,
and people got up and jammed til the early morning.
The volunteers were great, with everyone taking part and also enjoying the festivities....
At Blingles there are actually hook ups, and those couples can come back to future
events, and of course shoud send us updates at blinglesevent@yahoo.com
If you missed Blingles Eve, you missed a great time, but have no fear there will be
more Blingles events happening soon.
